Reza Abdolee The CWS Lab at CSUCI has committed to research and development in the area of cybersecurity and wireless systems. With the full support from California State University, government agencies, research collaborators and industry partners, this Lab will be headed to greater ambitions and success in the future.
Our ultimate aim is to become a world-class centre of excellent in cybersecurity and wireless systems and one of the very best research hub for cybersecurity in the nation. We planned our strategies towards becoming a dynamic key player in research and development as well as offering outstanding research experience to our students and visiting scholars and providing the experties and resources to our industry partners.
California State University, Channel Islands opens its door to both national and international industry collaborators to join us in various interesting and innovative R&D programs. We would like to share our expertise and experience with you through short courses and consultancy services. I am confident that our lab experts are capable of providing strong support in line with your aspirations and needs. Dr. Reza Abdolee is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at California State Uninversity, Channel Island (CSUCI). He is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB). Dr. Abdolee received his Ph.D. in Computer and Electrical Engineering from McGill University, Montreal, Cananda in in 2014.

Prior to joining academia, Dr. Abdolee was an Electrical and Software Engineer in several high-tech and manufacturing companies. His latest industry position was with Qualcomm Inc., where he worked on software modeling and implementation of digital subsystems that are used in smartphones and wireless systems. In 2012, Dr. Abdolee has been appointed as a research staff at Bell Labs, Alcatel Lucent in Stuttgart, Germany and contributed to design of wireless communication systems. The focus of his work at Alcatel-Lucent was on the development of advanced signal processing algorithms for the new generation of wireless communication systems and LTE/4G standard. In 2011, Dr. Abdolee has served as a research scholar at Adaptive System Laboratory (ASL) in University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). His contribution in this Lab. leaded to several new algorithms and tools for performance analysis of distributed systems for behavior prediction of distributed netwroked systems. His close collaboration with Prof. Ali H. Sayed at ASL ended up in numerous peer-reviewed articles published at IEEE Journals and Conferences.

During the past few years, Dr. Abdolee research resulted in several patents and inventions in the area of wireless communications and Internet of Things. He invented a wireless communication system architecture that can significantly enhance the link reliability, data rate and capacity of today's communication systems. He patented a new dynamic reconfigurable hardware to enhance the security of IoT and current wireless devices. His wireless biometric sensor invention in the area of IoTree (agriculture) help growers/farmers to combat the adverse impact of global warming on crop's yields. Dr. Abdolee strives to help the local community and industries to speed up their advancement in today’s fast changing technology and align themself with the accelerating pace of bussinesse. His excellent work and outstanding academic achievements were recognized around the globe, particularly, in the US, Canada, Germany and Malaysia. He has been the winner of several prestigious scholarships and awards, including, USDA grant, DoD award, NSERC postgraduate award, FQRNT Doctoral Research Scholarship, DAAD-RISE Professional Scholarship, ReSMiQ Supplementary Scholarship and SYTACom Industrial Collaboration Award.
